Events and Fundraising

The primary aim of Chobham Friends is to give parents the opportunity to become an active member of the Chobham community. Chobham Friends’ committee, along with many parent volunteers, organise social and fundraising events for the parent community and for the pupils.

We have had successful quiz nights, fun runs and discos – something for everyone!

School funding crisis

School funding and falling budgets are hot topics at the moment; and you may be wondering how you can help your school.

Meeting challenges together

While the government is being confronted to address the funding challenges, parents are not powerless to assist their school. We strongly believe that school and parents working in partnership is the most positive way to raise money and secure the best educational experiences for our children.

Did you know that so far this academic year, Chobham Friends has raised over £20,000 through fundraising some of which has so far paid for musical instruments for our music provision, tuition to learn the instruments as well as SEND provsions, after-school archery clubs and suppor for school projects. This year, the focus is on buying Robotics sets for all year groups!

The good news is, everything Chobham Friends raises goes directly to providing for the school, and, in consultation with staff, parents have a say on where and how the money is spent.

Get involved

You can make a real difference! More parents involved with Chobham Friends means more money raised through more fun events, benefiting everyone.

There has never been a better or more important time to support your PTA.

What value does your Chobham Friends already bring to school?

  • Fundraising – whether it's paying for extras or essentials, every penny directly benefits our children
  • Fun – our events are enjoyed by children, parents and teachers alike, and are a great way to bring the whole school community closer together
  • Parent voice – discussing where PTA money is spent, talking to teaching staff and everything in between contributes to school decision-making.

Join us

There are many ways you can offer your talents and be part of the conversation. If you would like to chat about how you can volunteer for your PTA and be a force for good in Chobham Primary – however much or little time you can spare – please get in touch with us: chobhamfriends@gmail.com. Be certain that your help will be greatly appreciated and will make a big difference.
